Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 Picks Up Super Night Scene Camera Mode Ahead of India Launch

HIGHLIGHTS
  • The Redmi Note 7 likely to come with Super Night Scene mode in India right out of the box
  • The Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 offers Snapdragon 660 SoC, 4000mAh battery for under Rs 15,000 in China
Soon after the launch of Redmi Note 7 in China on January 10, Xiaomi had revealed that the Redmi Note 7 would get the Super Night Scene feature from the flagship smartphone Mi Mix 3. The feature was supposed to be rolled out to the Redmi Note 7 via a software update. Looks like the software update has hit the phone already and it brings the Super Night Scene feature to the Redmi Note 7. The information regarding the software rollout has been confirmed by official Redmi account on Chinese microblogging site, Weibo. The software update that brings the Super Night Scene to the Redmi phone is rolling out now. Notably, the update could be rolling out in a phased manner which means if you still haven’t received the update it might take some time for it to hit your phone. To check whether you have got the update on your Redmi Note 7 or not you should head to the Settings menu > about phone > software update. Notably, the Redmi Note 7 might come with the Super Night Scene feature right out of the box in India.
Redmi Note 7 Gets Super Night Scene Camera Mode: What Is It?
Xaomi launched the Redmi Note 7 in China at the beginning of January for a starting price of 999 Yuan which is approx around Rs 10,500. The company has now confirmed that a 48MP Redmi phone is coming to India, and most likely, it is the Redmi Note 7. Cameras are one of the best bits about the Redmi Note 7, and now with the coming of the Super Night Scene mode, Xiaomi could possibly take on the likes of Google’s Night Sight mode, which enables users to capture HDR pictures in low-light situations.
To recollect, Xiaomi’s Super Night Scene camera mode was first introduced with the Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 which was launched in the company’s home market in the month of November last year. After the Mi Mix 3, the Super Night Scene camera mode was released to some of other Xiaomi phones like Mi 8 and Mi Mix 2S.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 Coming to India Next Month
On Thursday, Xiaomi India announced that a 48MP camera phone is coming to India soon. Xiaomi didn’t reveal the name of the phone, but it is expected it to be the Redmi Note 7. In total, Xiaomi is expected to launch three phones including the Redmi Note 7, Redmi Note 7 Pro and Redmi Go by the end of first quarter of 2019. For the Redmi Note 7, the phone could come to India next month and the pricing of the handset will be aggressive as always. The Redmi Note 7 will see a lot of attraction from buyers as it has a gorgeous design, powerful processor, capable cameras (on paper) and a beefy battery. It could be the perfect successor to the Redmi Note 5 Pro that was launched last year.
