Two weeks ago, we heard that Huawei plans to launch the P30 and P30 Pro in Paris, France, in the last days of March. Today we got an official invitation in our mailbox from the company itself, confirming the date - March 26. The image has a lens, zooming into the Eiffel Tower, probably suggesting we’ll see even bigger zoom than the 5x hybrid one, introduced with P20 Pro last year.
The invitation from Huawei
The video invitation appeared on Twitter as well, where the focus goes from the full Eiffel Tower and Arc de Triomphe into a part of it with tremendous details. A leaker suggests this means 10x hybrid zoom, a technology we will eventually see in an Oppo prototype at MWC 2019.
The Huawei P30 and Huawei P30 Pro are also allegedly on TENAA with codenames ELE-TL00 and VOG-AL00, probably a reference to the fashion magazines Elle and Vogue, since the devices will be introduced in the fashion capital of the world.
According to case makers and early renders, the Huawei P30 will now come with a vertical three-camera setup, with the flash and the sensors under the shooters. The Huawei P30 Pro, however, will have four cameras, with the laser AF and dual-LED flash next to them. We expect to see Kirin 980 chipsets on the inside and hopefully 40W fast-charging.
