Motorola's Foldable Phone Coming Soon, Company VP Confirms
After the launch of the flexible smartphones from Samsung and Huawei, the rest of the smartphone makers are also coming out with their foldable devices. Recently, Motorola has convinced that a foldable smartphone is being developed on their behalf. Motorola's Vice President of Global Product Dan Derry has shared a few more details while confirming a flexible smartphone into an interview. Some leaks had already come out about Motorola's smartphone.
Speaking about the device, Dan Derry said that Motorola is actively working on a foldable smartphone and it will be launched very soon in the market. He further said, "We had started working on the foldable smartphone long ago. We have made a lot of improvements to this. " This statement from Motorola VP has recently stamped the publishing report related to the company's foldable smartphone in The Wall Street Journal. This new device will be folded like the company's RAZR Flip phone. It can cost around $ 1,500 (about 1 lakh rupees).
Although Motorola did not say anything about the date of this launch, it is believed that this year also includes the launch in the company's timeline. There are indications that Motorola's foldable phone will also be in the market in the second half of the year with Samsung and Huawei's foldable smartphones. In addition, Lenovo's Ownership Motorola can present this phone in its annual conference in August. Derry also stamps those details which were seen in Motorola's patent filing.
Motorola's device will be like RAZR and it will fold inside the display. There will not be an outside display feature like the Samsung Galaxy Fold or Moto Mate X. Its design will be based on the old RAZR flip-phones. Derry said that Motorola is working on its superior design, to prevent the phone from scratch. They said, 'We are testing a plastic OLED device with plastic film.' He said that touching such a display is scratched due to which the phone will remain constantly damaged. The company is making it better.
