JioPhone Users Finally Get Long-Validity Plans of Rs 594 and Rs 297 With Up to 168 Days Validity

Reliance Jio has finally introduced long-validity plans for JioPhone users. Since the start of 2017, Jio is offering tariff plans with up to 365 days validity to its prepaid customers, but JioPhone users were left out from the list. However, the wait is finally over as Jio has now introduced two long-validity plans of Rs 594 and Rs 297 to JioPhone users. The Rs 594 plan is valid for 168 days, while the Rs 297 plan ships with benefits for 84 days. Notably, the Rs 297 plan is the cheapest open market plan with 84 days validity, but do make a note that it’s only valid for JioPhone feature phone users across the country. That said, the two new plans are valid for both the JioPhone and JioPhone 2 users.
JioPhone Rs 594 Recharge: Benefits and Details
Starting with the Rs 594 recharge, it offers 500MB or 0.5GB of 4G data per day, unlimited voice calling and 300 SMSes for 28 days. After the completion of daily data, the speeds will be reduced to 64 Kbps. Also, the SMS benefit will be refreshed for every 28 days. That said, this is the same Rs 99 prepaid recharge which the company last year, but it comes with six months validity. Basically, Jio is avoiding the hassle for you to recharge every month. The company should’ve added better benefits to make the newly launched plans attractive.
JioPhone Rs 297 Recharge: Benefits and Details
The Rs 297 recharge from Jio for JioPhone users also offers the similar benefits of 0.5GB data per day, 300 SMSes for every 28 days and unlimited voice, but the validity is 84 days. That said, it’s also the same Rs 99 prepaid recharge bundled for three months up front.
JioPhone Rs 49, Rs 99 and Rs 153 Recharges Detailed
Before the introduction of these two new recharges, Jio used to offer Rs 49, Rs 99 and Rs 153 plans to JioPhone users across the country. The Rs 49 plan was launched alongside the JioPhone back in July 2017. It offers a user 1GB of 4G data and unlimited voice calling for 28 days. The Rs 99 recharge, as mentioned above, comes with 0.5GB 4G data per day, unlimited voice and 300 SMSes for 28 days. Lastly, the Rs 153 plan for JioPhone customers ships 1.5GB of 4G data per day, unlimited voice calling and 100 daily text messages for 28 days.
JioPhone New Long-Validity Plans: Do They Make Any Sense?
With the Rs 594 JioPhone plan, the telco is bundling the Rs 99 recharge for six months and with the Rs 297 plan, it’s for three months. Basically, Jio did not introduce anything new, except for the fact that it’s removing the hassle of recharging every month. These plans from Jio are for people who’re tired of recharging every month and they come in handy for older people who don’t know how to perform a recharge.
Having said that, these two new plans from Jio are not valid for the telco’s prepaid and postpaid subscribers.
